A Gentleman and a ScoundrelId bookish older brother He is determined to teach her that underneath his polished manners and gentlemanly demeanour he is a man like any other―with a few desires of his ownSparkling Regency Historical Romances take the manners and fun of the old style Regency novels and bring them up to date with a peep into the bedroom. 4 STARS A MARRIAGE IN WAITING LOVEThe 1st Book of a new Series by Norma Darcy that gives us laughter fun however only 4 STARS instead of 5 because I found the Heroine very childish acting taking her petty anger out on the Duke Otherwise I liked Louisa Jasper along with their skewed story because couples people aren't perfect Give them a read they will probably rub off on you as they did me Recommend

review A Gentleman and a Scoundrel Ï eBook or Kindle ePUB Ö Beautiful young and wilful Lady Louisa Munsford has determined that she will only marry for loveWhen the very eligible Duke of Malvern makes her an offer everyone expects her to accept him Rich handsome with uite the most agreeable disposition and figure of any manHe seasonThere is just one problem; Louisa suspects that the Duke does not possess a passionate bone in his body This is unfortunate given that she had long ago resolved to be soundly kissed by himJasper John Lansdowne the Duke of Malvern is a gentleman through and through He is well aware that Louisa regards him as her sta. A bit disappointing It seems as if the first few chapters were written with another heroine in mind The Louisa of the opening chapters was uick witted and knew her own mind looking as if she would lead the Duke in a Merry chase But then there was a sudden switch to a completely immature ingenue It's not a crime to be uncertain in love to have doubts or to uestion one's mind on occasion but get behavior with Nicholas was inconsistent with her initial presentation was ludicrous that they would be able to mantain a uasi betrothal given the incident that gave rise to it By the time I completed the 1st half of the book I didn't even care if she ended up with Malvern; she was so petulant and annoying The Duke is really the only likeable character and somewhat plausible one as well If a father's ambitious plans for his daughters continued to be thwarted he would have removed them from their Aunt's care as opposed to only intervening when his first defiant daughter gave him news that things were working out That is only one of many considerations that were dubious at best Darcy has an amusing turn of phrase which is why I have it 3 stars but this book left me unsatisfied
