Pretty deeply conflicted about what to rate this book I ENJOYED it I really did Until the very end when I suddenly HATED it What am I supposed to do with that 2 stars for making me furiously angry 3 stars for keeping me entertained throughout 4 stars for high uality prose You tell me pal I got nothing Overall I will say I think I would've enjoyed this type of thrillermystery if it had been say an Agatha Christie novel I expect twists and whiplash from Agatha Christie I didn't expect that from this book so it just made me really mad

The Revelation of Louisa MayRies much less have any adventures of her own But before long Louisa finds herself juggling her temperamental father a mysterious murder a fugitive seeking refuge along the Underground Railro. 355 starsLouisa May Alcott is 15 years old during the time this tale takes place Her mother has gone to New Hampshire to work as the perpetually impoverished Alcott family has no source of income their father Bronson Alcott refuses to work for another person As they are active on the Underground Railroad it falls to Louisa to help escaped slave George when he arrives at the Alcott house and Bronson is in no condition to assistThe book also deals with the Alcott family's friendships with Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau and the Transcendentalist movement as well as politics and issues related to slavery All the same the book would be readily comprehensible by the so called young adult readers It was an okay uick read but not a particularly challenging story
